Emma and Charlotte are two sisters living in Salzburg, Austria who couldn’t be more different. All Emma wants is to be a normal teenager and spend more time with her friends, but she is always having to look after her younger sister, Charlotte. Charlotte, unlike Emma, prefers to spend all her time with her dog, Sammy.One night, Emma sneaks out of the apartment to attend a friend’s party. But Emma doesn’t realize that Sammy also gets loose. After waking up and realizing Sammy is gone, Charlotte begins her search, but it leads her to the one place she fears the most, the catacombs of Salzburg. Upon returning home from the party and finding the apartment empty, Emma begins a frantic search for her sister. Meanwhile, Charlotte suspects there might be more than old altars in the catacombs. What will Charlotte discover in the catacombs?

Great series - Intro to Paris
Looking for a way to introduce your students to Paris via a story? Like cute little rodents? Novice students need lots of input and repetition and a glossary to help them out? Look no further. There's definitely a bit of repetitiveness in these books but the storyline and curiosity about what happens to Rhumus keeps you reading. The author is very capable and has come up with yet another creative storyline that gets students reading. I particularly liked the 2nd book which had me hooked in wanting to know how the building frustration of the rats would resolve. You won't want to miss adding these titles to your classroom library!

Interesting and at my level (A1-A2)
This book was a pleasure to read. I understood most of it, but there were still some words I had to look up. The glossary in the back was very convenient. The story was interesting as well, and I found myself looking forward to seeing what was going to happen. Thanks.
