Thomas loves baseball more than anything. He dreams of wearing a jersey, stepping up to the plate, and playing on the local community team just like the other kids. There’s just one problem—Thomas can’t catch. Not fly balls, not grounders… not even slow tosses from his dad.

But Thomas isn’t ready to give up. With a big heart and a whole lot of determination, he practices every day. He learns that the biggest victories don’t always come quickly—and they often come when they are least expected.

It would be great if not for the fact that when it was translated from French to Spanish, not all the names of people and at time words were translated. So you get Moreau instead of Martinez and at time the word "and" is in French. If you want to take the time to fix it is worth the effort but for the price you should not have to lose time fixing it.

Great series - Intro to Paris

Looking for a way to introduce your students to Paris via a story? Like cute little rodents? Novice students need lots of input and repetition and a glossary to help them out? Look no further. There's definitely a bit of repetitiveness in these books but the storyline and curiosity about what happens to Rhumus keeps you reading. The author is very capable and has come up with yet another creative storyline that gets students reading. I particularly liked the 2nd book which had me hooked in wanting to know how the building frustration of the rats would resolve. You won't want to miss adding these titles to your classroom library!

Interesting and at my level (A1-A2)

This book was a pleasure to read. I understood most of it, but there were still some words I had to look up. The glossary in the back was very convenient. The story was interesting as well, and I found myself looking forward to seeing what was going to happen. Thanks.

    La lettre

This was a great novel for my 8th grade French students. It’s compelling and relatable. They love reading that other kids go through similar challenges during adolescence. Highly recommend.

Your students won't want to put it down

This book is written for more of an intermediate student. This one definitely holds my students attention! I really love that it has ties in "real" life and you can incorporate the Netflix and History channel shows when reading this one. I suggest buying this one with its sequel!
