Anna is different: a mouse that isn’t afraid of cats. She lives in the Black forest in Germany with her mom and dad. But Anna is not happy. She doesn’t have any friends. And because her father fears she will get attacked by a cat, Anna is not allowed to explore the forest alone. How will Anna be able to make friends? Will she venture alone into the forest, against her father’s wishes? Anna’s fearlessness could get her into trouble or… it could help her find friends!
Our differences set us apart from others, but sometimes they bring us together.

This was a great novel for my 8th grade French students. It’s compelling and relatable. They love reading that other kids go through similar challenges during adolescence. Highly recommend.
I recommend this product.

Your students won't want to put it down
This book is written for more of an intermediate student. This one definitely holds my students attention! I really love that it has ties in "real" life and you can incorporate the Netflix and History channel shows when reading this one
